Leveraging on GovTech's OpenAttestation technology, trust Bar is developed by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Singapore (ACRA).

trust Bar verification service enables quick and easy verification of the authenticity of ACRA’s Business Profiles and Business Certificates (Incorporation/registration) that are purchased from BizFile from 4 Mar 2023.

ACRA's trust Bar verification service is easily accessible to all members of the public. No login is required to access this service.

You can verify Business Profile (including free Business Profiles) and Business Certificates (Incorporation/Registration) that are purchased from BizFile from 4 Mar 2023. We’re planning on adding more products, such as other certificates and registers, in the subsequent phases. Stay tuned!

They can be purchased at bizfile.gov.sg. From 4 Mar 2023 onwards, each Business Profile and Business Certificate (Incorporation/Registration) issued by ACRA will come in two formats – a Portable Document Format (PDF) file for viewing and an OpenAttestation (OA) file for product verification.

You can verify by scanning the QR code or using the verification URL found in the PDF document or uploading the OpenAttestation (OA) file on this website. This verification service is applicable for Business Profiles (including free Business Profiles) and Business Certificates (Incorporation/Registration) that are purchased from BizFile from 4 Mar 2023.

Please go to BizFile portal > click Buy Information > click Product Authentication. Please enter the Authentication Number of the document and the Unique Entity Number (UEN). Alternatively, you may scan the OR code on the PDF document to get direct access to the BizFile Product Authentication page.

A PDF file can be used for viewing and verification purpose. Whereas an OA file is a machine-readable format and is used mainly for verification purpose.

You will be able to verify immediately if a document has been altered. If the document is verified to be issued by ACRA, the results will show a green tick; and if the document is not issued by ACRA, the results will show a red cross.

You could have uploaded an OpenAttestation (OA) file that was issued by other organisations, or the content of the file may have been altered. If you’ve received a document that is not issued by ACRA, please clarify with the sender of the document or alternatively, purchase the document from bizfile.gov.sg.

The verification service is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase.

You can print a copy of the Business Profile or Business Certificate (Incorporation/Registration), which contains the trust Bar watermark, verification date and time as confirmation that the documents have been verified through trust Bar .

You can save the file you've rendered on trust Bar into either a PDF or an OpenAttestation (OA) file.

There is no difference in term of content. However, there might be difference in the number of pages depending on the web browser you use. This does not mean there is missing information in the report with lesser number of pages.

You can verify the OpenAttestation (OA) files of the Business Profiles and Business Certificates (Incorporation/Registration) at the following government verification portals: tradetrust.io and verify.gov.sg.

trust Bar offers verification API service through APIMall for software developers to integrate the API into their existing processes, enabling machine to machine workflows for seamless mass verification purposes.

The trust Bar currency feature enables user to check if the information found in BCs is up to date.     This allows you to make informed business decisions as you can check the currency of the information inside the BC. In addition, you can also enjoy cost savings as repurchasing the Certificate is not necessary if the information in the document is up to date.

We are progressively rolling out the currency feature in phases. You may look out for its implementation for other information products in time to come.

You may either scan the QR code or access the verification link available at the BC’s PDF document, or alternatively drop the BC’s OpenAttestation (OA) file at   acratrust Bar .gov.sg.

If the BC is verified to be issued by ACRA and the information is up to date, the result will show a green tick; and if the BC is verified to be issued by ACRA and some information in the document is not up to date, the result will show an amber warning sign.   For more information, please visit go.gov.sg/currency.

Developed by GovTech Singapore, OA is an open-sourced framework to endorse and verify documents. The OA files issued by ACRA are verifiable formats of your documents. You may upload them on this website to verify if your documents are issued by ACRA.

No, Business Profile or Business Certificate (Incorporation/Registration) issued by ACRA is cryptographically hashed based on its content, and contains a signature which is a unique digital code used to verify against ACRA’s public key.

A hash is a unique digital code to verify that the document content has not been altered. When ACRA issues a document, a hash is created based on the document content. The hash is then tagged to the OpenAttestation file. When you upload an OpenAttestation file on this website, another hash will be created. If the content within the uploaded file is identical to the original file, both hashes will match.

A signature is a unique digital code to verify that the document is issued by ACRA. When ACRA issues a document, a hash is created based on the document content. This hash is then signed with ACRA’s private key, creating a signature that is tagged to the OpenAttestation file. When you upload an OpenAttestation file on this website, the signature is verified against ACRA’s public key. If the document is issued by ACRA, the signature can be verified against ACRA’s public key.
